This too, Shall pass Away!
Often we get stuck with the moments, thinking that they are here to stay. But the law of the nature says that "nothing is permanent", be it sorrow, pain, wealth, even life itself. Phases of life are like stream of water, they keep moving with the current. Just like river, this journey called life also flows through rocky terrains, smooths plains, take steep turns but goes on.
When one is against the wall he/she should remind that time will change & will change for good. But when you are in the rosy phase of life this phrase becomes more important as it reminds you that life doesn't always run on smooth paths & you are abound to face the rough times. This is neither a pessimistic thought nor something to be afraid of, accepting what nature has on offer prepares a person to welcome the good times with moderate ecstasy and tough time with strong character.
There are numerous stories where these five magic words helped Great men to weather the storms in their life. Most famous being Abraham Lincoln, the times when Lincoln faced the fury of the nation for standing by his principles, he reminded himself that this too would pass with time and with God's help he could come through this.
These are comforting words to remember in times of trouble, in times of hardship. When nothing is going correctly, its comforting to know that no pain, no grief can last forever, no matter how much trouble you are in this, too, shall pass away.

Poem adapted from the Original version by Paul Hamilton Hayne
When you are in misery, Then do pray
And be assured, This grief shall pass away.
When you are ecstatic, be not too carefree;
enjoy the moment,
this, too, shall pass away.
when you are in danger, purse your cause;
And cling to hope, this, too, shall pass away.
when you are tempted; for the materials that lay;
One truth to yourself, this, too, shall pass away.
Do the days of glory and grief always stay?
Like the seasons of the year, This, too, shall pass away!
Wherever you are,
whenever the footsteps stray,
Remember the wise
words: This too shall pass away!
